HOLY WEEK
This past weekend, we began the most solemn time of our Church year with the celebration of the Passion of Our Lord on Palm Sunday.  The following is a calendar of events that pertain to our Music Ministry during this time:

• Tuesday, April 3 - Parish Lenten Mission at 7:00 PM
• Wednesday, April 4 - Na Leo Choir Practice at 6:30 PM
• Wednesday, April 4 - Voices of Faith Choir Practice at 7:30 PM
• Thursday, April 5 - Holy Thursday Mass at 7:00 PM (Choir of Angels)
• Friday, April 6 - Stations of the Cross at 3:00 PM
• Friday, April 6 - Living Stations at 6:00 PM (Young Adult Ministry)
• Friday, April 6 - Good Friday Service at 7:00 PM (Na Leo Choir)
• Saturday, April 7 - Easter Vigil Mass at 8:00 PM (Voices of Faith)

EASTER SUNDAY
Reminders:

• Please bring a dish to share with your fellow choir members between Masses
• Choir attire is regular Sunday wear in "pastel" colors
• Be at the church on Easter Sunday (April 8) no later than 6:15 AM!!!
• Masses begin at 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM
  
• We need to update our ministry picture (see above); so let's take another one after Mass!

SCHEDULING
Because of Holy Week, there are changes to our April choir schedule.  So please check the calendar on the Music Ministry website (http://music.olswahiawa.org/calendarschedules.html) and note when your choirs are scheduled for practices and Masses.

As we prepare for the close of this liturgical year, please check the "Calendar/Schedules" page for next years choir schedule ("Liturgical Calendar 2012"), upcoming Responsorial Psalms, as well as the schedule for Mass Settings.

Also, check the "Combined Choir" page for information regarding this year's Thanksgiving Mass.

If you've visited this site before, the first thing you'll probably notice is the new layout.  This hopefully reflects that the site is currently undergoing some updates and changes, so check back frequently for more details.

To help us in learning the new music for the acclamations we sing at Mass, a "New Mass Setting" page has been added.  On that page, you will find recordings, sheet music, and the implementation timeline to assist the choirs and parish with learning the new music.  We are just weeks away from the implementation day (November 26/27), so please take advantage of this page to become familiar with the change in music.

The mass plans for July 2011 have been posted to the website.  Please check it out!

Thank you to all our OLS choirs and their directors for an awesome Lenten season and especially the Holy Week celebrations!   You all helped in a very significant way to enhance our liturgical celebrations!!!  We look forward to an incredible Easter season.
